Copper tubes or Alumium tubes on the coils. Commercailly all Carrier / Payne are copper tubes and Alumium fines. Now residentiually i don't know. now i will say this day and time with all the advancers in design of coils. I will say it would make very little difference now a days. Now 20 years ago i would not have a alumium coil at all for the trouble that came with them. Quality of a Carrier verses a Payne. If you have a good installer --- i would not care which one i bought.
