even, occasionally, for certain things -
the rough look or live edge ...

Actually, in the right setting, that would be pretty cool.

Picture a bathroom with a rustic décor in a large post and beam cabin..

I like the look, but I'm not sure that I would want to clean
the outside.

Maybe cast in resin but not as it is. Though I wouldn't want to clean
around a vessel sink (or free standing tub, for that matter).
