It can only print weak biodegradable objects, (cant use ABS filament) and the lack of a heated build platform almost guarentees distortion when printing tall objects. PLA isn't weak, it's just not designed to handle the elements. A heated platform does not guarantee against warping on tall parts. ABS has a tendancy to curl, so a heated platform is required. PLA does not require a heated platform. Once objects reach a certain height, the heat from the platform becomes irrelevant. People are even making complete printers OUT OF PLA. |
