Would that bee too much trouble? See http://imgur.com/a/pgZ3e#0 I moved it to a separate page and annotated it. Removed older images and put new images in place. All 2x construction for cheap bench. I am leaving many chisel marks in it, so it's not worrying me. If it really goes to crap, I'll just plane it down and put a masonite top on it. But I don't see it being a problem. It's saving my real workbench, and giving my back a well needed rest for marking. I did make the legs too high. My first set of dovetails came out awful, I finally figured that my arm is too high. So it should be an inch or 2 lower, so that when sawing my arm is level. I did not anticipate the saw height when I built it. I noticed my arm was level to the bench. Should have put a saw in my hand, it makes a difference. -- Jeff |

I'd love to see that, but I don't get the binaries group. Got photos anywhere else? OK, I will rant. I just use Google news reader. Yes newsgroups are old technology living in this modern age. Alt binaries is always a problem for me too. I have never found a good solution and usually just do a Google search and find some re-poster site thing where I can view them. What a hassle. Wish we could just post pics here. But please all use flicker or flucker or some facebook or some fricking normal thing with a link so we can just click and see. |

But please all use flicker or flucker or some facebook or some fricking normal thing with a link so we can just click and see. Echo that. I'm an old school usenet user but to be frank, the binary groups are not worth chasing after anymore. There are tons of free web sites to upload pictures to and then just post the link. Everybody can see it, it generally shows better, and it generally downloads better. Let the binary groups die. They've served their purpose and no longer do. Build your own website. Then you can include photos and text as you please and modify as you see fit. Works for me. I can't access Facebook as I don't have an account there, so that doesn't work for me. |
