Where did Rob live? Those cabins in the background of your picture look very familiar. SW Missouri area?

What part of this post below did you miss?

---------------------------------------------------
For those of you who may have missed it earlier, attached
is a pic of Rob, Angela, and friends enjoying a pot luck back
in early Sept in Sarnia, ON.

Rob indicated that this was a group of friends who met frequently
at various places along the Lake Huron shoreline during the summer.

It makes me think that many of us are missing out on something like
that. I'm suggesting a number of us get together for a dinner or
something similar. Of course for me, I'm talking about a Toronto and
surrounding area meet. Who knows? It could become an annual event.

It's one thing to discuss, argue and occasionally curse someone here
online, but after you put a human face to some of the names here, it's
much more difficult to continue with the same caustic replies.

Until something like that could be arranged, know that Mike Radcliffe
already solved that nicely, with technology, on an interim basis ... sent a
white (so your wife would suspect it was Viagra) package with a bottle of
beer in it, along with an invitation to a Google Hangout at a specific time
(turned out to be a lot more enjoyable than some of you Luddites would
imagine).

AAMOF, that was when I got an inkling that all was not well with Rob, as
he seemed frail and subdued that evening.

Rob's family lives in Sarnia, Ontario.

The photos were taken, IIRC, in Sauble Beach, ON. I got the impression,
from following along for a few years on FB, that they had a longstanding
annual gathering of friends and family at that beach resort and that Rob
had an inkling this may be his last, after being diagnosed with Stage4
cancer earlier.

Yes he did. And that was before his diagnosis.

Wow, I had forgotten about the viagra part.
But I do that kind of thing all the time, so it's easy to forget. :-)

I noticed that, too, but had never met him in person, so I didn't know
what he was *normally* like. However, I do remember him getting in the
occasional, but well timed, wry quip that endeared me to his personality.

That sure was a fun little video chat.
