FS: Shop Fox 20" Planer with Spiral Insert Cutterhead Mesa, AZ
I have in very little used condition Shop Fox W1718 - 5 HP 20" Spiral
Cutterhead Planer From the manufacturer: Prepare yourself for the heavyweight champion of planers! This workhorse has all the features anyone would need, plus a few extra for ease of use. Constant wood contact with the blades on this spiral cutterhead planer produces a surface that is unsurpassed and very nearly ready for finishing. An additional benefit of the spiral cutterhead is its amazingly quiet operating volume. With a large 20" capacity and rugged construction, this machine is the last planer you should ever need. SPECIFICATIONS: Motor: 5 HP, single-phase, 220V, 28 Amps Cutterhead speed: 5,500 RPM Cutting width: 20" Cutting height: 8" Max. depth of cut: 1/8" Table size: 25-3/4" x 20" Cutterhead diameter: 3-3/16" Knives: 4 rows, spiral knife configuration, total of 90 knives Dust port: 5" Footprint: 27-1/2" wide x 22-1/2" deep Approx. shipping weight: 800 lbs. Each insert has 4 cutting edges, they have not been turned yet and the first set is still in EXCELLENT condition. I will sell it for the cost of a regular 20" machine with a regular cutter head. $1400 and you pickup (can help load) in Mesa, AZ (just East of Phoenix) It is currently in storage and hard to get a picture of it, but you WON'T be disappointed!
