anyine recall an article on "sculpted" joints

Sometime in the last 6 months or so I read an article about making a
joint where the two parts are carved etc. to make smooth transitions
between the parts. i.e one part flows into another. Does anyone recall
an article like this?

I've tried searching at fww.com without any success.

Thanks,

Mitch
