Good background to show off wood?

I have recently started selling some of my work at craft markets.
I have been trying different coloured cloths on the table to present the
wood in the best possible light.
I use mostly gum tree and finish with warm shellac and sometimes danish
oil. I make mostly small ring and larger jewel boxes that retain the
natural shape of the wood.
Sometimes I use a lace tablecloth which makes the wood stand out but it
can get a little boring.
Any thoughts anyone?

Cheers T.

Green.

All those casinos use green felt on the tables for a reason, could just
be that it is easy on the eyes.

Check out your local photographic supply places looking for "seamless
background paper". It comes in rolls in various widths and colors. The
advantages of using the paper include no wrinkles, it can be curved from
the floor/base to the back wall eliminating the corners, it's relatively
inexpensive (about $30 for 53" x 12 yards) and looks good.
