Default Installing new on/off switch on DP350

Had a switch go bad and after installing a new one I noticed on the DP table
2 shiny strips, 1/4" w X 5/8"L. Can only assume these came out of the new
switch. Any one replace a switch on this drill press before that has seen
these and know where they go? Seems to work allright w/o em, but.... Thanks.
