The part screwed to the face frame with the screw passes through a forged
eye bolt and becomes the pin that the door part of the hinge hangs on. The
door part of the hinge rests on the eye bolt and pivots on the pin. Hope
that explanation is clear!

I like the hand forged hardware also. that gives it a nice touch.
