Default Grill Pics

(Sending multiple posts due to size restrictions)

Decided on a nominal 8:1 slope for the ramp so 36" long for a 4+" rise
seemed appropriate and 36" wide would support the grill while still
getting thru the doorway.

End of design time.

The ramp would be piece of 36" x 36" x 3/4" ply supported by tapered
risers cut from a 2x4.

Four tapered risers from a single 2" x4" x 96".

Assemble with some exterior 1-5/8" deck screws and paint with some
primer.

It's off to Home Depot and the Zinsser aisle.

Next to the 123 was a qt can of oil based Zinsser primer that had a
higher solids content than the water based 123.

Such a deal, grabbed a can before it disappeared.

As the ramp was being completed, somebody posted a link to a
"woodiepaddle" made from red oak that I could have bought for about
$50 including shipping for cleaning the grill.

Said to myself, "Self, why not take a look?"

Back to Home Depot.

Found a hunk of Red Oak that was 3-1/2" x 3/4" x 23-7/8" actual size.

Close enough for atom bombs and Woodie Paddles".

A friend drilled some 3/4" dia thru holes with a forstner for me.

The rest of the project required some saber saw time and lots of work
with a belt sander, a ROS, my Fein multisander and last but not least,
lots of hand work sanding.

At this point, the paddle is usable; however, may still hit it with
some BLO.
