I'll jump on the band wagon... These are end grain cutting boards,
walnut, maple and cherry. Given away as gifts and on one has wanted to
use them. They just set out looking pretty.

OK, then here's one I made for the daughter last Christmas - hard maple
and walnut end grain.

Default Cutting boards Question...

All the cutting boards shown have been well crafted and visually
appealing -

That said, do they ever actually get used as cutting boards?

Mine have not been so for. LOL... Every one is afraid to cut on them.
They bring them out for special occasions as serving trays.

With the left overs, made a cheese board glued up edge grain.

Neat, the knife as well. Would you mind sharing the source of the knife?

Was from a gift set many years ago. In addition to the knife, there was
a small round cherry board with an indentation for the knife handle. No
idea who made it - there are no markings on the knife :-(

Mine doesn't. I threatened my wife within an inch of her life if
I saw a knife being used. We do, however, use it as kind of a
serving tray for cheese and crackers type of munchies when we
have family/company over.

I use ours, but a couple of the gifts are displayed but pristine. The
owners say they are too nice to use. I say, 'wear it out and I'll make
you another".

G'day,

That cheese board Knife caught my eye also and was curious to see if I
could find it, and what other interesting products that maker might have.

It's a Dansk Vivianna Cheese Board.

Cheers,

Nick.
