What you need to do is get hold of something like "Gimp," "Irfanview" or
"Picassa" all of which are freebie photo editors.

Open the photo(s) you wish to upload and then select "Save as" or "Save
for Web" Typically you'll be prompted for the size you wish to save it.
Just dial it down a bit and if you keep it under about 70k you will
find that folks appreciate it more and there's still plenty of quality
so they can see the workmanship.

Just Google on those program names and you can download them.
