Nicely done ... In my old age I've gone from two 18's and four 10's
for my bass rig, to one 15 in a Hartke cabinet (strictly for a stage
monitor) that I can pickup with one hand.

It's what happens when you get old, don't play rock any more ... and let
the sound guy put the bass in the house and monitors, which combines are
bigger than anything I can carry.

What material did you use for the boxes. What type of port did you use?
Did you use software to design?

Beautiful job ...

Thanks!

They are 3/4 plywood, mostly, with some thinner panels here and there as I
didn't have enough. There are lots of internal braces. I wanted light weight,
and they ended up at 85 lbs. The front is 1" thick, laminated 5/8 and 3/8 to
sink the woofers because their edge was so big... There are 4 ports in each,
tuning to 35hz, as per Eminence recommendations. I also used WinISD to check the
design.

I sold them as a custom build to a DJ. Another DJ bought the thinner version
shown in another post.

These things are far too loud for a home! Just testing one causes dishes to fall
out of cupboards! Each one is powered by its own 2000 watt amp in bridge mode.

I've heard of people using 4 - 10s for a bass... I use a single 15" EV vintage
spk for my P-bass, but I don't play out anymore! I also use an Ampeg vintage
amp, the V22. Some day I may turn it into a V4.
