Guy using a poorly designed push stick accidentally cuts off all ten fingers
on the table saw. Goes to the doctor.

Doctor says "Well, fortunately, you live in a day and age when delicate
microsurgical reattachment of the fingers is all in a day's work. Just let
me have the fingers and I'll get right to work."

Guy says "Well, I don't actually have the fingers with me, Doc. They're
still back at the shop"

Doctor says "What? Don't you know that time is of the essence? Why didn't
you bring the fingers with you?"

Guy says "Hell, Doc, I couldn't pick 'em up!"
