Very strange.
Odd that some could see the pix fine, some errored out, and one managed to correct the error. Looked for a common thread. Re-downloaded all of them after checking cache (good suggestion, mac), and they could all be viewed in Irfanview and Photoshop, plus Newsbin's thumbnail viewer.
Had thought the problem might be from those using an email program instead of a proper newsreader (though that's the way I started, too), but that alone doesn't seem to be it.
Then thought it might be from a multiple part attachment. Nahhhh.
Maybe they don't come through as thumbnails on some programs, but if saved as a file they work (though I never had a problem with the full version of Forte). They were processed as I always do in Irfanview and Photoshop - cropping and color adjustment, and in this case converted to negative.
I dunno.
Attached is one of the originals, straight off the camera.
Thanks for the replies - still looking for an answer. After sanding down and refinishing it looks far better.

You have apparantly posted this as several seperate parts. This is not
handled by my client. When opening this, the first part, I get the error
"premature end of JPEG file" and it then goes on to diplay a part of an
image.

I think he may be including the binary code in the text of the message
instead of just attaching the image itself to the message.

I don't think so because the message appears as normal text with the JPEG
icon in the attachment window [1]. I see six separate messages with the
subject line ending

Not in my window. There's no attached imaged, it's just a few lines of text
with the rest of the message showing up as binary code. And, I'm using Forte
Agent which automatically joins split images.
