Festool DOMINO Application Example for Rick?

Someone in rec.woodworking asked if the DOMINO could
do "double mortises" on the end of a 2x4 (I think it was
"Rick"). The answer is YES - and here's an example of
how easy it is two cut two pairs of doubled mortises.

A buddy needed two 5'6" wide by 7' tall gates made out of
pressure treated 2x4s (to keep deer out of his wife's garden).
Using the DOMINO he was able to cut 4 mortises - on each mitered
end - on each of the four gate parts in 2 minutes and 22 seconds
per part. That includeds clamping and unclamping time as well
as time to walk to each end of the part to make the cuts.

Attached is the DOMINO set up to do the job and a sample
corner with how it was done. I did the "set up" such as it
is, and he, with no prior experience cut all the mortises.
Two of the 32 mortises were off, not because of the DOMINO
or the inexperienced user. The outside edge of one of the
mitered corners wasn't square to the board's face. Since
that edge is used for referencing the mortise one pair
of mortises didn't line up properly.

This really is a slick new kind of tool.
