That's gorgeous! What are the outside edge and the dark brown trim made of?

It's beautiful, but how could you ever stand to allow anything to be
set on it?

No kidding, I'd have to Formicaize it. LOL

Super job not only a good choice of colors but excellent craftsmanship. Did
you use a vacuum press, and I am assuming the ground is MDF. What did you
use for stain and finishes ? mjh

This is one of the most wonderful elegant tables I've seen posted
here. Traditional styling, tastefull, visually excellent execution.

Congratulations. Outstanding.

Come on guy - you can't post pics of a piece that nice without
providing some details about it.

Maple burl - AND . . .

Ordinarily the frame of the top would be stepped back
like this
+-----------
|
+
\________

but you went the other way

+---------
/
/
+----------------

any particular reason?

Is the "frame" two layers or one?

Did you turn the legs yourself?

Are the turned legs one piece or was the turned
part doweled to the square part?

Apron to legs mortise & tenoned?

How'd you attach the top to the apron - metal "Z"
brackets?

You had at least two bookmatched pieces of
the burl veneer - there are two pairs of
bookmatched pieces in the pic of the top view.
Is the burl top two or four pieces of veneer?

more details please.
