Couldn't find a group to enquire about the above subject.

Anyone had a chance to use them? Which one would you recommend? I am
partially blind and a newbie at wood working and would appreciate your
feedback. Working without one is out of the question for the obvious
reason.

A better description of what you need is in order. I am really not sure
what you need. I can only speculate without knowing what saw etc. Even
then specific answers on what is appropriate for your saw is probably
in order.

The group that you are looking for is rec.woodworking.

Just what is a "saw guide?" I am partially sighted (VI, if you want to be
politically correct) and would like to know what you are talking about. Right
now, I just make very dark lines on my work piece and line it up with the saw,
turn on the power and pray. Okay, sometimes, I do use a magnifying glass to
verify that my fingers have done their job. I learned a long time ago that
"feeling" your way around a table saw was not a good idea. :-)
