Totally Turning Suggestions

I'm heading to the Totally Turning symposium in Albany this weekend.
First time. Any advice or suggestions?

Wear safety glasses during the demonstrations

Do not sit directly in front of the lathe

Leave your wallet at home

Do not buy that nifty gadget without first consulting with your wife!
