Sealer over wax
Ray Key in his videos promotes the practice of using paste wax as a
lubricant during sanding to reduce scratches. He then follows this with a lacquer sealer that he cuts back with 0000 wire wool dipped in wax followed by a coat of wax polish to get a semi-gloss finish. Putting lacquer over a waxed surface doesn't make sense to me but I wonder if anyone here has tried it. Graham |
