Wormy dogwood?
Someone mentioned dogwood for tool handles, and I remembered a hunk of the
stuff I had shoved in corner under a bush for some day. Some day was a few years later, and the ground contact side of the wood is pretty much swiss cheese, with lots of little silvery wormy type things crawling around in it. Should I try to do something with this piece, or just get rid of it? I'd be loathe to stick it on the lathe in this condition. I can just imagine getting sprayed in the face with gooey bug guts. I'm not married to it by any means, and I'm inclined to get rid of it. I just thought I'd see if maybe I'm missing out on some weird artsy spalted thing or something. -- Michael McIntyre ---- Silvan Linux fanatic, and certified Geek; registered Linux user #243621 http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/ |
