Default Meet €˜The Son of Roubo Next Weekend

Chris Schwarz gave my club's show in Saratoga Springs, NY 3/26-3/27 a nice
write up again:

Seems to me we had some beers with dinner last year but I guess that could
be lumped in with "the food in the town is quite good." ;~)

Hope to see you there!

John

What are some of the places in Saratoga where people hang out after
the end of the show days? Any good ones? Do the presenters all hang
out together wearing gang colors and pushing people off of sidewalks?
I've heard stories you guys are a rough bunch.

Well... I had dinner with Ernie Conver, Chris Schwarz, and Phil Lowe one
evening last year and dinner the next night with a bunch of the Totally
Turning presenters (not sure how that happened... I'm a flatboarder... but I
think it was Matt Clarke with whom I connected) in the hotel restaurant.
Other years, like when Doug Stowe was there, we walked up the main drag and
"just picked one." There are a lot of good places in Saratoga Springs!

The dinner discussions with the professionals are enlightening but generally
have nothing to do with techniques and processes. They are more along the
lines of trends, law suits (the Saw Stop nonsense was fodder last year), and
what new and interesting stuff we experienced there. I suggest you start
making your "dinner plans" very early in the day if you want to chat with
specific people.

Definitely look for me!

John
