Has anyone made duck or goose calls,if so what did you use for a finish and
was the wood stabilized.

I made a deer call. Used a purchased blank, bocote. It was most likely
stable. Finished it with CA, then lacquer, then wax. It has not seen the
woods yet, but has withstood the storage bag well for over a year.
