fs vacuum pump, anyone?

I just picked up a 1/3 HP GAST oilless vane pump, 0523-101Q-G582DX - it has
a vac gauge on it and also a vac regulator/limiter that could come in handy.
it is a 110AC unit, it needs a replacement filter holder which you order
with filters directly from GAST. The service manual is here
http://www.gastmfg.com/pdf/OM/23_series_oilless_om.pdf
you will need one AK510 to replace the broken holder, and you will probably
want to replace the filters, AK524, or you can get the assemblies, AK526
This place shows the holder for $7.95 and the complete assembly for $12.95
http://www.septicsolutions.net/store...epairparts.htm

If I order these parts, I will sell the pump for $165 (plus shipping) - this
compares favorably to the aprox $400 that the woodworking catalogs charge
for the smaller (1/4 hp) model (of course, this is used and theirs is new,
but ...). If someone gets it from me before I order the parts, it's $125
plus shipping - so you will come out ahead by a reasonable amount.

and you can use the outlet as a source of aprox 30 psi air for blowing
things off

if interested, contact me by finding my email on my web site below - don't
reply to this message, the "reply to" address is invalid - (it's an
effective way to reduce spam)

I can send you a photo if you like - it's cosmetically good, but not
perfect, and it sits on rubber feet.
