rockwell 3400 question(s)
Hello Group- just found you :-)
I have a new-to-me' Rockwell 3400 lathe, Ser# 142467- is there any way I can pull a mfg date from that serial# ? After several days of soaking it in penetrating oil, I finally managed to get the live centre out of the tail spindle- is there a way / trick to get the bearing out to replace it, or is it a toss-and-new ? thanks |

rockwell 3400 question(s)
if the live center has only one bearing, throw it away and get one that has
a more suitable setup - I tried a new one of those single bearing centers a while back, turned something for about 10 minutes max, and the bearing failed "tom" wrote in message news Hello Group- just found you :-) I have a new-to-me' Rockwell 3400 lathe, Ser# 142467- is there any way I can pull a mfg date from that serial# ?
