Rim Chuck Review

Hello All,

I have just posted my final review of the Richard Benham Rim Chuck at
my web site: http://www.fholder.com/Woodturning/Rimchuck.pdf. This
is a very fine chuck for finishing the foot of bowls. I found it also
very useful to hold a rough turned and dried bowl while re-turning the
foot to fit the chuck. It may be a bit expensive, but it is less
expensive than a vacuum chuck set up and it is more secure than the
Longworth Chucks that I've used. The file is a PDF and a fairly large
file.

Thanks Fred, when I first saw this design (in another publication)
-they- called it a Longworth chuck, only a 6 point one, rather then a 4
point.
But I agree, it is more stable then a conventional Longworth.
