![]() "George Orwell" wrote in message ... The handle on the street site of our one-piece metal front door is working loose. The only screws are on the inside of the door. Can I remove them and tighten up the outside handle, or is it a case of rivets working loose? Fred You'll probably find that the bolts on the inside are actually holding the outside part of the handle in place. This is done for security so no one can loosen the outside handle and get in. Try tightening the screws on the inside and should pull the outside back into place tight for you. --- http://www.basecuritysystems.no-ip.com/ Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Actually, the outside handle was held in by an Allen key bolt but at least I had the courage to take unfasten those screws Fred --- http://www.basecuritysystems.no-ip.com/ Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
