Double glazed door
I have an old double glazed front door , the spring in the lock/handle
has gone so the weight of the handle opens the front door. Are they easy to take to bits and repair, I don't won't to be left not being able to lock the door afterwards. The lock mechanism runs from top to bottom and locks 4/6 lugs as the key is turned. Martin |

If it's just the weight of the handles thats causing the problem because the springs have given up just replace the handles if you can find them. If the lock is knackered, it's easy enought to remove from door & take apart but I'd be very surprised if it was fixable, again, identify it & replace. |
