Mounting brackets for wall-hung WCs?

Having had superb responses to 2 questions so far this year I'd like to
risk a couple more ...

Can anyone suggest a supplier for mounting brackets to attach a
wall-hung loo to a wall?

Never having "hung" a loo before I'm concerned about strength (SWMBO
wouldn't forgive me if she was dumped on the floor whilst dumping), are
there any hints or suggestions from the assembled experts?

I've never done one either; but I'm guessing the mounting bracket would
depend on the loo; ie, shouldn't appropriate brackets have been provided
with it?

The manufacturer supplies one (at a price); I'm told there are universal
frames/brackets available but haven't been able to track them down. I'm
tempted to get the welder out and fabricate my own if I can't find one
at a sensible price but I'd prefer to see a picture of one first so that
I can copy rather than inventing from scratch with all the risks of a
prototype.

Are you really hanging it to a wall or attaching it onto bathroom furniture
with the cistern and outlet inside ?
If the latter then the makers of the furniture will have brackets to
transfer the load to the floor.

I'm making a "boxed-in" area so need to fix to the wall or to my stud
work (but that doesn't feel like a good solution). If I (reluctantly)
end-up making my own bracket I guess it will stand on the floor (on a
spreader inside the stud work) but fix to the wall.

I have a very similar-sounding setup, and the frame that the toilet
mounts to was from the same supplier (and I think from the same
manufacturer). I think it was adjustable to a certain extent, but I
wouldn't say it was universal. The frame is pretty big and mounts to
the floor and the wall to provide a secure mounting for the toilet. It
also holds the cistern.

Drop me an e-mail as a reminder (my address you can work out from the
header) and I'll see if I can dig out a picture of it during fitting.
I think I took some that show it, but I'm not sure until I can take a
look later.

Personally I just built something from 3by2. With a long stud attached
to the wall at top and bottom, a shorter stud directly behind the loo,
with a joint between the studs at their base and top, some studding to
hang the loo. It's not tested yet, though, and I had the luxury of a
foot of space to ceate a lever effect.
