track join not even causing curtain hooks to get stuck...

I've managed to get UPVC tracks bent and joined and the curtain are
working kind of OK...
Only problem is that when when the curtain are drawn, and the hooks
hit the joining section it gets stuck and I have to pull
left/right(the curtain) to get it pass the joint. Looking at the joint
it is not as smooth as it should be(i.e. not even...

Any tips on working around this problem is appreciated...?
Thanks,
Sandiyan

You dont say what make of track you have used but anytime I've done this I
have used a joining piece specifically for this purpose . It holds the two
ends together tightly but still allows the curtain to run past the join.
Otherwise,as you have found ,even slight movement snags the hooks on the
way past .
