I want to do a *butt and scribed* (?) invisible joint on two post-formed
laminated kitchen worktops. What do I use? A router? A fine jigsaw?

I've seen professionals cut the joint with a router.
But they also used a jig to guide it which costs several hundred
pounds. I've no idea how hard it is to get right without this.

Cutting a joint well is riding a bike, easy when you get the hang of it.

For the cost of a GOOD router & jig you could pay someone like me, & have
change.

I've just bought a bigger Router and about to buy a jig. I have two
joints to make but have enough spare material to practice on first.
I'll report how I get on in a few weeks.

I was quoted £95 by a guy who specialises in doing this service
on-site. Seemed like a fair price but I bought the gear (from
Screwfix)and did it myself, just for the experience.
