Toilet Cistern

Elderly relative has a brown (Ugh) bathroom suite. The toilet cistern has
cracked due to fitting a tight new flushing lever.

Any ideas if a brown replacement might be available? (Close coupled)

Any ideas on how to stop if weeping through the crack?

John

How far does the crack extend down? Can you stop it leaking simply by
adjusting the ball valve to lower the water level?

Go and talk to your local branch of Travis Perkins. Normally cisterns
are BS colours and small runs of these colours are available for
replacement purposes. The cost is normally £100, which I regard as
reasonable for a 1 off item.

I've just replaced a brown 1980's Bathroom suite,

and still have the cistern in the shed. Bit scaled inside though!
