Cutting porcelain floor tiles

Mark Spice wrote: I have just laid this type of tile in our en-suite and I used a cheap angle grinder with a professional duty, diamond, tile cutting blade (both from Screwfix total cost about £30). I was very pleased with the result and what is better SWMBO found it to be tolerable. Unless you're very skilled, a proper diamond wheel wet tile cutter at about the same price is a better bet - it will give perfectly straight and smooth edges. And it's a *lot* safer in the hands of the inexperienced. -- *Remember, no-one is listening until you fart.* Dave Plowman London SW 12 RIP Acorn |
