fitting bathroom suite

Hopefully buying a new house that needs a new bathroom suite fitting, at the
moment the bath is under the window and we would like to move it. to do this
the toilet will have to be moved onto another wall. at the moment the toilet
is about two feet from the stack (cast iron) this will be replaced with
plastic, moving it will mean the soil pipe from the toilet being extended by
about 8 - 10 feet . is there a maximum length that the toilet can be from
the stack ?.

Paul.

Yes, but your distance seems fine. From Table 2 in Approved Document H, the max
length of an unvented branch pipe 100mm dia serving a WC with outlet 80mm is
15 metres. The gradient of the branch pipe should be between 18mm (1 in 55) &
90mm (1 in 11) per metre run.
