My 'desk' is a 3m long kitchen worktop, in beech finish, about 24"
deep and 1.5" thick. Excuse the mixed-up units, but those are the
round-number measurements. It sits nicely on 3x castored cabinets,
each about 26" high, each with 3x drawers, with the bottom draw
being a standard filing cabinet size. Bought the whole lot in
one of the sheds.

A Kitchen suppliers like Magnet
B IKEA
C Skips behind posh offices - they sling whole desks because a
drawer is damaged. Mainly just standard-sized desks but occasionally
something posh.
