Because roof timbers need to be ventilated, or will rot quickly. And I very much doubt anything has changed since then. Cowboys never really go away. A lot of people would not suggest it is a good move to spray anything on
there. I'd never do it because a cold caller suggested it, they probably have a shed load of the stuff from bankrupt stock and are trying to turn a fast buck. The previous owners of this house thought it was a good idea, it was not. https://www.lapolla.co.uk/ Link times out -- djc (–€Ì¿Ä¹Ì¯–€Ì¿ Ì¿) No low-hanging fruit, just a lot of small berries up a tall tree. |

Plus the chemicals are mixed on site, and if they do the mixing wrong you can end up with toxic offgassing. Did I mention that faulty foam is near impossible to remove? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000v2wr was mentioned here recently. https://foursevenfive.com/blog/foam-fails/ has lots on bad foam - it's a big problem in the US where it's more popular. If you want to install foam, install foam panels like Celotex - easy to remove, and made in a factory where you know it's been done right. Theo |
