Looking for a tradesman or handyman who can do a property maintenance job for me on a property in BL6 area.

Can't get there myself because of Covid restrictions.

I saw the message the first two times... and I still don't know any
tradesmen in the area!

Besides, if maintenance needs doing, it justifies a visit ...

It may well be legal to travel for that purpose. However, it's a really
astoundingly bad idea to travel halfway across the country to do what
sounds like a small job.

It's 232 miles there and 232 back so if I was to do it, it would involve me staying somewhere overnight. So doing it myself is plainly not possible in the current circumstances.

For me, it's 232 miles to get there and 232 back and would involve me in an overnight stay. Hence not practical in the current circumstances.

So, a day's time spent travelling. Plus mileage on your car at say 20p a
mile, marginal usage. Plus cost of an overnight stay. And, that's before
you even think about the public health aspects.

Can you supply a toolkit to whoever is on site?

That's a "no" because I am 232 miles away. The main requirement is to get a quote for doing the job. The amount of work to be agreed upon following an inspection and provision of photos showing the remedial work required.

No tools provided. The main priority is to make an inspection, take photos and then quote a price for doing the work

[you seem to be replying to every post twice]

So why can't you use the usual 'find a trader' websites, and are instead
asking this of a bunch of random people on the internet?

(yes I know the 'trader' sites have their flaws, but so do we)
