Who would that be then ?. Sky is now owned by Disney and C5 is no longer
owned by Jenricks mate.

They're not going to do that without getting something for it.

In your little world nothing is ever up for negotiation?

So why not go back to the original 'bargain' where the BBC didn't pay for
OAP licences. If you don't think anything should be ever changed.

Top Gear earned the BBC tens of millions of pounds, which they used to
cross-subsidise those programs that few people watch or listen to.
