The biggest threat to humanity comes from socialism, which has utterly
diverted our attention away from what really matters to our existential
survival, to indulging in navel gazing and faux moral investigations
into what the world ought to be, whilst we fail utterly to deal with
what it actually is.

Thanks for that. I have emailed legrand to see if I can get a direct
'part for part' swapper.

But the above look pretty good to me

Do screwfix do such? or Newey and Eyre?

Does "fir tgus" mean fixture? Else maybe something to do with fire?

I think it is "for this" in TNPese. Unfortunately, Google Translate has
yet to include this esoteric language in its list. ;-)

Google doesn't show many firtguses for sale, hence his difficulty.

The first thing to try with TNP's spelling is the adjacent keyboard

I retrofitted an alternative unit but am left with a 2 x 1 unit gap in
the face plate...

I cant use 'dummy MCBs' etc as I ended up 'absorbing' some surplus
armoured cable in the space..is there something like a clip-in plate
that will fill the space in the front plate?

https://vps.templar.co.uk/Odds%20and%20Ends/box2.JPG

shows the problem.

Maybe get yourself a freebie cert from letsencrypt, or stick with http?

The contactum plastic blanks also seem to fit most things:
