Never installed insulation or a low energy light bulb?

For one.

Or bought a car to save public transport fees, or bought a house to save
rent?

Or bought a new model because the old model was beyond economic repair?

Howver in the case of amazon prime, if it saved you money why on earth
would they offer it to you?

I came across a hint recently that a smaller but reliable income may be
better than the peaks and troughs of market forces but, on reflection,
doubt that includes Amazon:-)

So the "never" bit was actually an economy with the truth then.

I am sure they are plenty of other cases where you probably do pay
something to get a discount later (e.g.paying for a flat rate call
package to get unmetered calls etc).

The irony is that its not even a good metaphor for prime since part of
it a subscription to a streaming service anyway.

Because they prefer a system where they get a fixed amount of money per
month with
less likelihood that you will buy from the cheapest you can find with every

Pay more attention when using the site. The big obvious buttons to
use to progress an order also tend to sign you up to Prime. Look for

Jim has a suspicious amount of supposed trouble with EBay, driving (women

The best approach is just to totally ignore him. Eventually he will crawl

I do but only when it actually does. Say £6 off when you spend £40 or
more and the total is £38.67, add £1.50 of polos and £4.50 doesn't
leave my wallet when it otherwise would. B-)

+1
but only when I would normally buy the same goods in smaller quantities
and at a competitive price. I use the Farmfoods who do 10% discount
vouchers if you spend £50, £75 or £100. I'm careful to make sure the
bill comes close to those amounts and if short I buy multiple jars of
(instant) coffee I like which is usually cheaper than the large
supermarkets.

Where I'm visiting soon the local (rural) supermarket always has
10p/litre off on petrol on a £40 spend. There is always something on
offer at competitive prices to increase the spend to £40 such as bog
rolls etc. that will always be used and have no use by date. In this
case there is very little local alternative for obtaining groceries
without traveling another 30 minutes in a car to another store with
similar pricing for both goods and petrol.

I have been signed up for free 30 day prime trial without knowingly
doing it. I cancelled soon after finding out and before the first
subscription payment.

I believe there may be cases where you don't get the option during the
latter stages payment/delivery to opt out because the goods on offer
were ONLY available (or available at that price) to prime customers but
you didn't have to be an existing prime subscriber to buy them.

Don't forget that they also have the £5+ delivery button.

I note on Ebay that a lot of sellers offer weird delivery options where
the free postage delivery time is shorter that the paid for delivery.

We use Tesco Club Card points to get discount on Euro Tunnel. The points
convert to vouchers (in money) which are worth 3x as much if you use
them on Eurotunnel. We've just saved about £200 on a crossing. In the
past we've bought two Kindles, camera lenses, ..... all when Tesco used
to have 'double up' offers on vouchers for goods. Now they don't do it
on goods.

We also get a steady stream of vouchers from M&S (I have their credit
card). Needless to say, I never pay interest!

Nectar Points off Ebay mount up and convert to cash vouchers. Ditto the
odd time we shop in Sainsburys.

Waitrose card gives discount at the till.

We even have cards for various French supermarkets which we use on
holiday. They all seem to work in different ways, some give discount on
certain items, others give vouchers etc.

All 'money for nothing', we'd shop there away.

The *******s just signed me up for prime for the third
time...*******s....

ordered something yesterday and it said delivery today....not
bad.......my free trial is working well....so feck them I am going
to just go by accident for their free trial with cancellation of
prime after the 28 days time and time again........this is my third
free trial so if they want to trick me into prime I will just do it
every month myself twelve times a year...bugger them ......shouldn't
be hard to do.....

and they have just arrived ....four learning garage door
remotes....AND they look the same but are of better quality in that
the sliding protective cover for the buttons doesn't move so easily
on its own so shouldn't have spurious operation of the garage door
like I have been having due to the flap moving on the two supplied
...looking forward to my next prime free trial.......

oh bugger they don't work with my garage door must have a rolling
whatsername.......they work with the electric moped though so they are
not faulty....

bloody garage door *******s obviously want you
to buy their over priced crap remotes from them....

More likely they want their doors to be harder to open so
some thief can buy an opener off ebay and open your door.

probably the case but they should give you a decent remote.....

bugger them......

They just buggered you, again. Bet you enjoyed that.

not a problem with free amazon returns.....
