For DIY the answer is fairly bleedin obvious. Wait a bit & do
something else while conditions improve.

Of course the wind farm ctiticisers will immediately jump on their
high horse to say that conditions wont ever improve and every bit of
UK foliage will bite the dust at the first squirt.
