Aldi bench grinder review

Got one for 14.99 & tried it out.

It has to be fixed down, it's totally unstable.
It works, but the grinding disc is only corundum ie alox, not carbide. It still sharpens/grinds things, but not especially quickly. It's on the coarse side for sharpening.
The belt sander works, but putting workpieces on the toolholder is not workable, as the lower drive wheel is metal, offering no give when the bulkier belt joint passes by. Using the flat section of belt, there is too large a gap between belt edge and guard edge to sharpen more than about half the blade on secateurs.
Finally although rated for 30 mins of use the motor case was excessively hot after 15 minutes. I would not want to run it for 15mins again.
Summary: it works, but not a good quality item in any way. Well, it was 15 quid reduced from 20.
