I see Camoron is giving the Scots/SNP more fiscal powers.
Cunning plan to discredit the SNP and the lying little bitch forever.

The Scots will be eating grass after five years of the New Marxist SNP.
They will have stolen all themoney in Scotland.
(And ours if they get chance.)
They will be in debt up to the hilt.

The best thing sensible Jocks can do is flee to England.
(Most already have)

Everyone (so far!) may be right(ish). A bit of DIY analysis - of the
bodgit-and-run kind:

a. OTOneH the Barnett formula means the block grant gives Scotland
more spending per capita than England. Cue "it's just subsidies from
England which allow the Scots to spend so much!"

b. OTOtherH Scotland's per capita GVA[1] is higher than the rest if
the UK save for London and the SE[2]. Cue "Scotland's economy is strong
etc etc".

As so often in politics, it can be hard to agree the right answer but
damn near impossible to agree the right question :)

[1] gross value added - the nearest we have to GDP at regional level but
excluding taxes from oil so.........

I spent far too much of my life commuting to London. Sitting here now,
in Aberdeenshire, I smile to myself every time I look at my free bus
pass :-)
