another thing was that durgo brand valves could take an air test with a
smoke box or manometer ...but some other brands couldn't ...strange

More than likely that there's a restriction somewhere or the cistern is
not at a high enough water level. It's always hard to tell by proxy.
It needs looking at physically. Has it always been like that?

the last similar valve lasted years......wish I had gone for the cheap black
£5 jobs that have flooded the market ....pardon the pun....but they looked a
bit on the tall side....but the Dudley was as expensive as any basic job on

in the flushing stakes ???? . ......


stuck my hand in and fiddled about with the membrane and it improved
somewhat ....but still a rubbish flusher


Membrane in the syphon stuck or damaged.If it worked properly in the
past,
then get a new syphon.


this is the new unit I am talking about...it never worked
properly...it's
just the hassle of fitting another one....

going to fit a new unit ....properly...tee hee

some are quite low down and I always thought that was £70 or whatever
asking
to be stolen ......


Stack pipes are normally at the side of buildings or around the back.
Do people really steal durgo valves !?
