Thick paint

Can anyone recommend a thick paint to cover a bare
concrete block wall internally ?. .. a sort of slap it on
job to get into all the crevices.
Would a sheepskin roller be best or some sort of sprayer ?

Ta Chris

Textured masonry paint works well for this. We recently used a
large amount of medium textured Dulux, and it went on very
nicely. You'll want a deep pile roller.

There's a new type of paint called Claypaint from EarthBorn. It's got
a high solid content so is quite thick and covers well. It's made of
clay (as you mightvhave guessed), the advantage on concrete is that it
breathable so you won't be sealing in any damp. Also its hygroscopic,
so you don't get condensation sitting on the surface...this makes it
harder for moulds and mildew to get a started. Best applied with a
roller. EarthBorn havea web site www.earthbornpaints.co.uk with a
stockist list.

Clay is probably one of the oldest "thickeners". Not your ordinary modelling
clay of course, but special grades like bentonite and atapulgite. Not a lot
of people know that....
