Sthil FS 120

Hello,

I have a Sthil FS120 strimmer/brushcutter. When started it runs okay for a bit, but after a while it stops picking up when the throttle trigger is squeezed. If stopped and restarted it will run at full revs again. The trouble is when it gets warm it can only be a couple of minutes before it fails to pick up, which slows the job down and lots of restarting probably does not do it much good. Does anyone know what is wrong with it?

Had a very similar problem with a chainsaw a while back. After lots of
messing about with cleaning and adjusting the carb - which generally
improved things for a while - replacing the carb was the only thing that
brought a permanent cure.
