With average earnings in the UK 10 times of those in China why is this a
problem?

When tickets for similar events sell for 4 figures on the black market,
what's wrong with pricing the best seats at that price in the first place?
At least the revenue goes back to the taxpayer rather than into the pockets
of some scumbag tout.

To people who know nothing, anything is possible.
To people who know too much, it is a sad fact
that they know how little is really possible -
and how hard it is to achieve it.

It isnt average earnings that determines who will buy tickets to an
olympics.

When tickets for similar events sell for 4 figures on the black market,

I doubt they do when the event starts with unsold tickets.
