Kitchen units - alternatives to Howdens?
Received wisdom (?) suggests that Howdens units are generally good quality,
although there are some questions over the quality of the worktops. Any country wide suppliers of as good or better quality at a reasonable price? If I was west of London I would use Kitchen George but that franchise hasn't reached East Anglia yet. Cheers Dave R -- No plan survives contact with the enemy. Cheers Dave R Mereway carcasses are much better than Howdens. They are a little more expensive, but I think they are worth the extra. They have nice details like metal drip trays in the sink units, and false backs to cover the plumbing. They also do at least 10 times as many sizes and types as Howdens. The last one we ordered was made in a pergamon gloss melamine, rather than the usual matt. It looked really good, and seemed that it would be more resilient. Their kitchen ranges are only sold through retailers (including John Lewis), but they sell carcasses to trade customers. They also now sell some things to the public through http://www.trendinteriors.co.uk/ A |

Try http://www.kitchencollection.co.uk/. I've got the Hamble range by Burbidge, which I'm very pleased with. dan. |
