Ideally you should put a concrete base down then 50mm sand/cement bedding under flags. Edges should be trench dug, laid upright and haunched in with sand/cement or concrete.
This is best for vehicle traffic. However you might get away with 100mm of compacted type1 with 50mm bedding on top of that for flags. Joint using mortar. |
